Sopranos carry the top line of the Australian Christian Choir — the melody and the soaring descants that lift a whole congregation. The choir sings sacred and classical repertoire from plainchant through to large-scale works like Messiah.
Auditioning as a soprano
We welcome confident sopranos who can hold a line in harmony and read basic notation. A short video of you singing — a hymn or any piece you love — is enough to start. Fortnightly rehearsals at UTS Building 5, Haymarket, fees from $100/year.

Do I need to read music fluently?
Basic notation-reading and the ability to hold your part in harmony is the guide — not conservatorium-level sight-singing.

Placed after your trial, based on your comfortable range and the balance of the section.
