The Lutheran tradition at AChA
No tradition has given sacred music more than the Lutheran church — Bach's cantatas and Passions, the chorale tradition, a theology that treats music as the handmaid of the gospel. At Australian Christian Arts, that inheritance is treasured.
What you bring
Lutheran members bring the chorale heritage, a deep Bach literacy, and Luther's own conviction that music is a gift of God second only to theology. That theology of music is close to our own founding vision.
We don't ask you to leave your tradition at the door. We ask you to bring it. AChA unites 20+ denominations under the Nicene Creed, and stays alongside your local church rather than replacing it.
